Slowly getting things done

This final project is definitely pushing me to my limits and beyond, but I'm still enjoying the experience thoroughly!

Considering I have to put my project in to an 'art of' book of my work I've been working on what exactly my book's going to look like. Page layouts are still a work in progress, but I have the front and back cover idea drawn out already anyway.

I definitely wanted to keep with the same simple and clean white/blue design of my blog and my personal website, so all the titles will use the same font (Oswald) and the same colour as well (#28CDCB).
Even the contents page, which is still pretty bare at the moment, follows this same style, and the rest of the book will do the same.

I might add a little drawing next to the header on that page just to make it a little less empty.

As for my actual project work I'm still putting everything together, but I'll at least share these super quick in situ sketches I did to try and work out the background design a bit more.

I actually think they're a bit too busy and might go for a more UPA studios style instead so the characters wont get lost among busy backgrounds. I'll report back with those results as soon as I get the time to work on them!
