In situ

This was the fourth and final weekly challenge that I had to do, and just like the others I really did enjoy doing this work because it opened my eyes to new things I would never have thought to try on my own!
For this project we had to take the character we designed from last weeks' challenge (my peacock, in my case) and draw them in to a photo we also took ourselves.
I went to Cardiff indoor market for my photos, knowing I'd be able to take a lot of varied shots that I could experiment with.
I started off at a cafe and sketched in my peacock there:

This next photo was of a fabric shop, as I imagined my peacock would be very attracted to beautiful things such as buttons, thread and fabric!

Next up was a book shop. My peacock would definitely be the type to sit amongst the piles of books and read for hours on end!

This last photo was actually taken at another time when I was out with my family at a Chinese buffet in Cardiff Bay. I didn't end up using it for the final idea but I wanted to try it out regardless!

For the finished product I went with the cafe photo and this is the final result!
